The Program/Position
The Intern Program is an established and integral component of Murphy Pohlad Asset Management LLC. Interns develop and apply critical skills that support our advisory work in the areas of accounting, financial analysis, financial planning, research, and communication to serve clients and co-workers. Work is completed under direction of one of our Investment Advisers with mentoring from the entire team.
The Intern Program is offered as either a one or two year program. Students must have completed their sophomore year.

Interns are also given the opportunity to present their work at team meetings, this helped me improve my presentation skills. One of my favorite things was just sitting in on meetings and listening to what other team members were talking about, whether about markets in general, industries, or companies. “My time at Murphy Pohlad Asset Management has been extremely beneficial to my academic and professional development. This is not an ordinary internship and is unique in many different facets. I found that a lot of what I have learned while interning is relevant to many of the finance and accounting courses that I have taken as an undergraduate. Most college students will intern with a company for a couple of months during the summer and then leave once school starts in the fall.
